Aruba ED-Card: Basic Information
Aruba ED-Card, also known as Aruba's Official Embarkation-Disembarkation Card, is an online form that all visitors to Aruba must now complete before arriving or leaving the country.
The implementation of the ED program in Aruba aimed to facilitate travel to Aruba for a number of travelers from all over the world. The online system gathers all essential information about visitors arriving and leaving Aruba. Previously, the Aruba embarkation card had to be completed in paper form, but now the system is fully digitalized.
All non-resident travelers, including visa-required nationals, are now obliged to obtain an online travel qualification using the online system.
Filling out the ED Card does not mean that a traveler is guaranteed entry to Aruba. It only functions as a pre-qualification to travel to Aruba and makes a traveler eligible to board a flight to Aruba. The respective Aruban authorities are entitled to on-arrival screening and interviews to determine whether a traveler is admissible to the country.
Completing the Aruba ED Card requires acknowledgment of legal disclaimers. All travelers must agree they will not make any false or fraudulent statements in the online application. Providing false information is subject to penalties and may constitute a violation of the Aruban criminal code.
