The Ukrainian e-Visa is an electronic visa issued for foreigners traveling for tourism, business, family visits, and cultural events.
The online system for Ukrainian visas has been working since 2018. After a break, it made a comeback in February 2025 to facilitate travel for visitors.

Ukraine e-Visa Application Form
The Ukrainian e-Visa application process is very simple, including just a few steps. All you need to complete it is an electronic device and an internet connection.
To apply for an electronic visa to Ukraine, follow this guide:

Validity Period
The validity period of the Ukrainian electronic visa may differ based on the decision of the immigration office issuing the document.
In most cases, the e-Visa is approved for 30 days and permits spending up to 30 days in Ukraine.
It’s important not to overstay the visit as it may result in legal problems.
Transit Information
Currently, Ukraine doesn’t issue electronic visas for transit purposes.
If the traveler needs a specific Transit Visa, they must apply for it at the nearest Ukrainian embassy or consulate.
Requirements on Arrival
In order to enter Ukraine without problems, every traveler must have the following:
- An approved Ukrainian visa
- A passport valid for at least 6 months
- Proof of the visit purpose in Ukraine
- Proof of financial means for the trip
- Health insurance with coverage of at least 30,000 EUR
Compliance with entry requirements will be checked by immigration officers during border control upon arriving in Ukraine. Unless you have all the required documents, you can’t cross the borders.
Required Documents
To apply for a Ukrainian e-Visa, all applicants must prepare the following documents:
- A passport valid for no less than 6 months
- A face photograph of the applicant
- A document confirming the purpose of the trip
- Health insurance covering you for at least EUR 30,000
- Proof of sufficient funds for the period of the planned stay
Uploaded documents must be in Ukrainian or English – other languages require an official translation.
Additional Documents
The Tourism Visa requires the applicant to provide one of the following:
- Hotel booking confirmation
- An arranged tour services contract (a voucher)
- A receipt of arranged visits to cultural facilities, recreation, etc.
To obtain a Family Visit Visa, you need one of the following:
- A notarized invitation letter from a citizen of Ukraine, a foreigner, or a stateless person legally residing in Ukraine
- A document confirming the foreigner's right to own real estate in Ukraine
- Proof that the foreigner is a spouse, parent, or child of a citizen of Ukraine
For a Business Visit Visa, prepare one of the following documents:
- An official invitation letter from a legal entity registered in Ukraine
- An official invitation letter from a state body or state institution
- An official invitation letter from a state enterprise or state organization
- Proof of implementation of foreign investment in accordance with the foreign investment laws in Ukraine
To apply for a visa for purposes including cultural, scientific, educational, or sports activities, you must have one of the following:
- An invitation from a legal entity registered in Ukraine
- An official invitation letter from a state body or state institution
- An official invitation letter from a state enterprise or state organization
- An appeal from the state body of a foreign state or an international organization
