The Taiwan Arrival Card (TWAC) is an online arrival form for travellers entering Taiwan. It replaced the former paper-based arrival card and allows travellers to submit their immigration information before arrival. The system is managed by Taiwan's National Immigration Agency, Ministry of the Interior, Republic of China (Taiwan). The Taiwan Arrival Card is not a visa and does not replace visa or entry permit requirements.
The Taiwan Arrival Card is required for selected categories of travellers entering Taiwan. This includes many short-term foreign visitors, including visa-exempt travellers and travellers entering with a visitor visa.
Some travellers may not need to complete the Taiwan Arrival Card, depending on their immigration status and travel document. Travellers should always check the latest official requirements before departure.
Important: Transit passengers who need to pass through immigration, collect baggage, re-check in, or enter Taiwan may need to submit the Taiwan Arrival Card.
Travellers should submit the Taiwan Arrival Card within 7 days before their scheduled arrival in Taiwan. The form must be completed before immigration clearance, so it is best to submit it before departure. Do not wait until the last moment to complete your submission.
Tip: Submit your Taiwan Arrival Card after your flight and accommodation details are confirmed, ideally before going to the airport.
Before starting the form, travellers should have the following information ready:

Enter a valid email address and complete the email verification process before proceeding.
Enter your personal and passport information exactly as it appears in your passport.
Provide your arrival date, flight or vessel information, travel purpose, and planned stay details.
Enter your hotel, host, or first accommodation address in Taiwan.
Check all details carefully before submitting to ensure everything is accurate.
Submit the completed form and check your registered email address for the confirmation message.
After the Taiwan Arrival Card is submitted, the system sends a confirmation email to the registered email address. Travellers do not normally need to present the confirmation during inspection, because immigration officers can retrieve the TWAC data when scanning the passport.
However, travellers should keep the confirmation email available during travel.
Important: The Taiwan Arrival Card confirmation is not a visa approval and is not a QR code receipt.
Travellers may review and edit their submitted Taiwan Arrival Card information online. If travel details, flight information, or accommodation information changes before arrival, travellers should update the TWAC record before immigration clearance.
This ensures that the information held by immigration officers is accurate when your passport is scanned.
The TWAC system supports group submission. One person may complete Taiwan Arrival Card forms for up to 16 travellers, which is useful for families, tour groups, and business groups travelling together.
Each traveller's passport and travel details must still be entered accurately.
