Belize Launches a New Digital Declaration Form
Beginning December 1, 2024, travelers are able to use a new digital immigration and customs declaration system for entering and leaving Belize.
The paper form will be substituted with an online version to modernize travel procedures and simplify the procedure for travelers.
Introductory Phase of the New Digital System
The digital immigration and customs declaration form was initially launched for travelers using the Philip Goldson International Airport on December 1, 2024. It was extended to all entry ports by January 2025.
However, the full switch to a digital system is implemented gradually. There is a three-month introductory phase, during which both paper and electronic forms are accepted.
This approach must provide a smooth transition for the ultimate removal of the physical document.

When filling out the mandatory declaration for Belize, travelers will be required to enter the information below:

Benefits of Launching a Digital Declaration
A new Belize digital immigration and customs declaration system is designed to eliminate the hassle, speed up the procedures, and make less impact on the environment.
The main benefits of a new form include:
- Convenience: A digital form can be submitted from any location with internet access before the trip to Belize.
- Reduced time: Not only does submitting a form electronically take less time, but processing is quicker.
- Sustainability: Digitalization minimizes the waste of paper, making the process more eco-friendly.
All these reasons must attract new tourists to Belize and make the immigration procedures easier both for visitors and immigration officers.
